Paragon: On Dekk with Crunch

On November 10, 2016 we got our first glimpse of the new Hero in Paragon, Crunch. Crunch is a melee fighter that likes to punch. He looks mobile and extremely combo heavy. He’ll definitely be a forced to be reckoned with. Here’s a glimpse at Crunch’s abilities:

• Re-Crunch: this ability is the last ability used again. Re-crunch also has two passive abilities; hits with basic attacks speeds up cool-downs and every third ability used is empowered
• Forward Crunch: Crunch launches forward stopping at the first Hero hit. If this ability is empowered (see Re-Crunch) it will allow Crunch to drag the enemy the entire distance of the charge
• Left Crunch: Increased cleave damage delivered via a left hook. If empowered this ability delivers 100% basic damage to all enemies within cleave range
• Right Crunch: Slows enemies on contact. If empowered this ability will send the enemy into the air.

I can’t help but think of a character from Street Fighter. The combos with Crunch truly seem to be endless. Epic Games continues to deliver FREE Heroes for Paragon. Each new Hero brings something new to the table. Paragon is an ever evolving game. Tuesday, November 15, 2016 Crunch becomes available for everyone to play. Even though I’ll have to, I can’t wait. Initially I was sort of taken back by the fun and light-hearted playful tone of Crunch’s announce trailer but after several views I couldn’t help but get excited. Let me know what you think, is it a step out of the norm? Or is it a breath of fresh air? I think that come Tuesday no one is going to want to mess with this steroid fueled Mr. Speak and Spell that watched too many Super Street Fighter matches. You can watch the video here.
