Horizon Zero Dawn is Guerilla Games highly anticipated new IP that is set to release in North America on February 28, 2017. I’m extremely excited to play this game, so much so that I’m avoiding all of the spoilers, reviews and advice that can currently be found online. With only a week left before release, why are reviews coming out almost 2 weeks prior? Guerilla Games is an established developer that, as far as I’m concerned, has yet to fail on any game they’ve delivered. Are they afraid that their new IP won’t succeed? Since Sony is publishing Horizon Zero Dawn as an exclusive for the PS4 did they pay for solid outstanding reviews? Or is it all an advertising ploy to bring in more sales for their new ‘risky’ IP?
Horizon Zero Dawn it touting over 100 E3 Awards and Nominations. Typically Developers and their studios prefer to keep a tight lid on their product until release date so why are we seeing so much content on Horizon Zero Dawn? Is Sony pushing this exclusive more than they need to? I for one was already set on purchasing Horizon Zero Dawn yet the amount of coverage it’s receiving has me doubting the hype. I hope that I’m wrong. I hope that you hope I’m wrong. Let’s find out together on February 28, 2017 when I spend my hard earned money and offer up an honest and unbiased review of Horizon Zero Dawn.
